About Dawn
I have worked with pregnant ladies and babies throughout my professional career, starting back in the mid 80’s when nurse training to the current day. I am a highly trained massage and reflexology specialist. I became a Reiki master, in 2002, and more recently completed training to become a qualified EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) Tapping practitioner. I am also a qualified teacher/ trainer. More recently I have opened my practice in Hale Clinic, Central London, and very recently I have recently joined a private London hospital as a private complementary therapist.
What Do I Do That Others Don’t?
The great thing about Maga Therapy is that there is no set treatment as such… if you have a pain or issue just tell me, and I’ll know just what to do!
How Do I Work
The way I work is practical application of my skills using my intuition and experience.
I deal with all of the aspects of conception and pregnancy and have successfully treated pregnancy pain and discomfort with clients expecting one child or indeed multiple births, I’ve started labours, assisted sleeping issues and even helped stressed out women to conceive, as well as all the other beautiful pamper sessions I have held….!
Massage is very versatile. It can be used to either achieve a therapeutic result e.g. in the case of sciatica, pelvic, or lower back pain, or to relieve your tight shoulders, or a very relaxing treatment.
However, sometimes massage just isn’t enough! If you find it difficult to slow down and make time for relaxation, simple deep breathing exercises, EFT, yoga are wonderful tools to reduce stress, fears and worries.
“I had my first Maga Pregnancy massage treatment with Dawn at the Tresanton Hotel when I was three months pregnant with twins. I immediately felt complete confidence in her ability to give a safe and effective treatment. I continued to have regular treatments in London until the 36th week of my pregnancy, which I found enormously beneficial, helping me to cope with the physical stresses of pregnancy and counteracting my insomnia. I resumed regular treatments two months after giving birth by caesarian section – I find them invaluable to help me relax, to realign and to put aside some pampering time for myself!” Rosemary, South London.

I met Dawn when I was overdue in my pregnancy and was highly stressed and impatient to have my child!
Dawn gave me a course of Maga Pregnancy treatments (including reflexology which I was quite sceptical of) after trying everything to prepare me for my labour. As soon as she started I was instantly relaxed and became fully connected mentally and emotionally with my baby within a few hours I felt a definite change in my body and alot more prepared for labour.
It is hard to put into words how Maga Therapy had such an overwhelming affect on me. Thanks to Dawns calm and supportive abilities during this time, within days I was holding my new born child.
My husband and I have been trying for a baby for the last nine months. During those months I have discovered that my cycle is longer than the majority of women and quite erratic (from 32-37 days). As we discovered that this whole “trying to get pregnant” game was not as easy as we thought I started to get more and more anxious.
I was counting cycle lengths religiously, having blood tests to try to discover if I was ovulating, even though it was a shot in the dark since my cycle was so bizarre. I was generally getting more and more emotional and frustrated about the whole thing.
By the time I realised I had to do someting about this my cycle had got to 44 days and I was fretting about pregnancy what felt like every other minute in the day.
My time with Dawn made more of a difference than I ever could have imagined. After only 2 hours of work with her, some tears, some very big sighs and a lot of EFT (tapping) I felt like a different person afterwards. The most bizarre part was that everything we worked through all made complete sense and all the examples of stories that I have heard of women that get pregnant once they stop actively trying completely made sense.
I have even tried the tapping technique at work when feeling overwhelmed: it just helps cut out the ‘background noise’ that comes with overdoing things so that you can focus on each problem at a time and work that bit smarter not harder.
My husband has noticed that I am happier and I feel far more emotionally prepared to tackle the next few months and deal with whatever is meant to happen. Thank you Dawn, you have helped me more than you know.
